The seminar was held last September 26,2009 at the church's premises. Headed by Ptra. Laila Lapi-an with invited speaker Ptra. Bing Romarez, there were 20 student teachers who were able to join the seminar.
The lessons had helped everyone on how to become an effective Sunday school teacher. It also helped them know how to make lesson plans according to age groups, and in that way the students can learn, understand and apply it in their lives.
The speaker said a Sunday school teacher requires strength and wisdom. A teacher should bear in mind that his/her students should establish a heart and mind that believes in God, she said.
“As the students go home, they should understand one important thing through the lesson discussed,” Romarez emphasized.
The seminar has also helped the teachers to develop confidence and to teach different types of learners with the HBLT (hook, book, look and took), likewise apply the core values - FAITHFULNESS, AVAILABILITY, and A TEACHABLE HEART.

She said in order to have an effective lesson, the teacher must know these elements and the specific aim/objective that leads students to respond to biblical truth.
A meaningful activity should also be established by the teachers to ensure that they reach the maximum learning which results to maximum involvement of the students. As Ptra. Bing mentioned in her lecture, she said "dont get them busy, get them busy for a purpose".
