1st HomeBuilders Facilitators Training kicks off in DCAGC
By Jofferson Jones C. Panos

“To be equipped on how to start and facilitate small group for married couples and families. “
Mentioned above was the aim of the HomeBuilders Facilitators Training participated by 31 individual church members, 12 of those are couples and seven are singles last September 19, 2009 at the premises of Davao City Alliance Gospel Church.

The training was conducted by Ptr. and Mrs. Norman Molina of Family Life Philippines from the Campus Crusade for Christ. Our local leaders, Ptr. Romy Romares, and Ptra. Bing Romarez also directed the said event.

Homebuilders group is a group of four to eight couples who are studying and learning together how to build godly marriages and families. It is an opportunity to help couples grow closer to God and to each other—and to improve their own marriage in the process.

The training was not exclusive to couples though. A number of singles attended the program since they desire to be more educated and equipped in handling their marriages in the future. Some church leaders were also present because they believe that this training will endow them with great knowledge for the ministry they are in.

Since it is a facilitators' training, the participants are expected to be the leaders of small groups among married couples by using what they learned during the occasion.
This was the first time that the HomeBuilders' Training was conducted in our church. Our church leaders are hopeful that that this will be the beginning of a significant ministry for the Lord.
